Call it Love, Lesson’s in Love, My Girlfriend is an Alien 2

Call it love (Korean): It’s got a melancholy vibe, and a well written modern (mild) melodrama. Everything is top-notch in this drama, from the acting, all the way to locations. The only negative is the rosy lighting. It can take you away from the story. This isn’t a cheerful drama. When I first picked it up, I found it depressing, but a couple of weeks later, I was in the mood for something moody and gobbled it up.

Lessons in Love (Taiwan): It has a dubious plot line, and is essentially a makjang, although that only becomes obvious in the later episodes. Watching this drama is like a train wreck. You know you should probably stop watching, but you can’t take your eyes away.

My Girlfriend is an Alien 2: This is ridiculous and fun. The directed pays close attention to detail, and puts effort into many small moments to make you laugh out loud.

I also re-watched “Put Your Head on My Shoulder”, and was reminded of what an excellent campus drama it is.
